Rise of the far right - People’s Forum
The rise of the far right is a complex, transnational trend driven by factors like anti-immigration sentiment, economic anxieties, and disillusionment with traditional political parties. It is also fuelled by social media, which provides platforms for organising and spreading ideology, and is supported by narratives that blame immigrants for societal problems rather than those in power, creating a climate of fear and hostility, especially in countries with large minority populations.

“The People’s Forum is about doing politics differently - from the bottom up, for all of us. It’s a shared, democratic space for us to come together and organise, building the kind of world we want to live in.”
